Amsterdam, the Photogenic Gem of the Netherlands

When it comes to picturesque cities in Europe, Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, stands out as one of the most photogenic places I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. From its winding canals to its charming architecture, every corner of this city is a photo opportunity waiting to happen. During our visit, it felt like we couldn't walk straight because every turn and every bridge beckoned us to take a shot.

Our journey to Amsterdam was an adventure in itself. We opted for a budget-friendly night bus from Paris, which added excitement to our trip. The 7-hour journey ended with us arriving in Amsterdam at 8 a.m., ready to explore the captivating city.

One of the highlights of our visit was the canal tour. Amsterdam's waterways offer a unique perspective, and we were amazed to see people living on boats full-time. It's a lifestyle that adds to the city's charm and left us wondering how it would be to live on the water.

The colorful houses along the canals added to Amsterdam's unique character. Their narrow, tall designs with vibrant facades make for stunning photos. Each building seemed to have its own story to tell.

We explored key attractions such as the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Rijksmuseum, savoring every moment. Dutch cuisine, including pancakes, bitterballen, and stroopwafels, was a delightful culinary adventure. Just FYI, there are condom machines available in the public toilet—haha!

As the sun set over the canals on our last day, we took a final stroll through Amsterdam's enchanting streets, cherishing the memories of a truly photogenic city. Amsterdam was the perfect ending to our European adventure, leaving us with a treasure trove of beautiful photographs and unforgettable experiences.
